I remember this Bouchercon, because it was in St. Louis, where I’d previously argued a case in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. I was there (ironically or not) to defend the denial of disability benefits in a particular case. (It is super-tough to meet the guidelines to qualify for Social Security disability benefits. Really! I probably don’t qualify, even though I can barely move my left hand.)
So … onward. Right?
